We are ambitiously determined to provide quality mentoring and guidance to young people as they transition into working life – offering a ‘hand up’ rather than a ‘hand out’. Guided by the qualities Richard Towers lived by, the RT Hand Up Foundation places value on listening to people and providing the right advice at the right time. Richard was held in high esteem for his great compassion, eagerness to help others and generosity of spirit, traits that complemented his professionalism and integrity. We match new graduates with experienced mentors from the right industry. Our mentors provide invaluable advice and guidance for those all-important first years in the workforce, including strategies for career planning and progression.
Career Preparation
How do you present yourself at an interview? How do you create your first CV? How do you write the perfect cover letter? A big part of what we do is help young people get set up for the start of their careers, helping them stand out from the rest and make the best first impression possible.
Professional Development
We provide practical strategies and tools to help those starting out in the workforce embed themselves in their chosen field. We recognise that young people may require assistance in developing the right professional networks and industry connections to compliment their technical skills.
